Code of Conduct
At the Neath Port Talbot Autism Hub, we strive to create a safe and fun place for autistic people to come together and enjoy themselves. However, to make sure that everyone stays safe and happy, we have to have some rules for everyone to follow.
If you’re confused about any of these rules, please reach out to a Committee Member. We can speak with you privately and help you to understand what we are asking of you.
These rules currently apply to all NPT Autism Hub hosted events and Saturday sessions
If you break a rule, how we react will depend on what exactly happened. But this is an example of what could happen:
-
We let you know that you broke a rule, and ask you not to do it again.
-
If you find it hard not to do it again, we might ask if there is anything we can do to help you to navigate the issue.
-
If you keep breaking the rule, we might ask you to not come to the group for a period of time or issue a verbal/written warning.
-
If continued rule-breaking occurs, then we will ask you not to come back to the Hub or attend any of our events.
The action we take will depend on the severity of the issue. The Committee will make a joint decision on the outcome.
If there is a problem happening during the Hub session or Event, the Keyholder on the day is allowed to ask you to leave, and they will file a report with the Committee; the above steps will then be followed.
We don’t want to stop anyone from coming to the group, but we have to make sure that everyone is safe and having a good time. Please try your best to follow these rules so that you can keep having fun with us!
As a reminder, the Committee is as follows:
Erin as Chair
Jon as Treasurer
Holly as Secretary
Rishi as Primary Committee Aide
Ben as Governance Officer
Courtney as Community Arts Director
On occasion, the Keyholder on duty will not be a Committee member
Any issues you’d like to discuss, you can do this formally by contacting us on our facebook page or emailing us via hello@nptautismhub.wales
